All-Rounder - Full Time

We are an international hostel and bar provider with locations across Europe and the UK, namely in Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, London, and many more. In pursuit of this, we are opening a role within our team for a full-time all-rounder, operating on a 40-hour contract. The all-rounder role is vital to our success, with a chance to mix things up between our reception and bar departments, wish tasks including booking guests into the hostel, advising on our offering and services, assisting guests with enquiries and questions, managing our booking systems, ensuring an effective hand over to the day team, bartending duties, overseeing events, and working with the management team on security and safety.

Essential requirements
You must:
- Be eligible or have all necessary documentation in which to be legally employed in Austria
- Have an up to date/active bank account in your own name
- Be able to converse fluently in English
- Currently be based within Vienna
The Role - Main Responsibilities
- Booking guests into the hostel, advising on our offering and services
- Assisting guests with enquires and questions - everything from do you have a hairdryer, to when is breakfast serviced?
- Managing the St. Christopher's booking system, ensuring all office administration is accurate
- Ensuring an effective hand over to the day team
- Working with the management team on security and safety
- Advising guests on Viennese attractions
- Previous experience in a customer-based role preferred but not essential
- Previous bar experience preferred but not essential
- Knowledge in German is considered a major plus as some of our guests come from German speaking countries
